Dyslexia Tool Wins Top Innovator Award at the 2026 U.S. National Innovator Challenge

Kevin Ma was recognized as a Top Innovator in the Grade 6–8 category at the 2026 U.S. National Innovator Challenge for his Dyslexia Tool.

The Dyslexia Tool uses a picture–word approach designed to make connections among letters, sounds, and meaning more visual. Kevin developed the tool to explore a new way of supporting children who experience difficulties with reading.

Following the competition, Kevin and his Dyslexia Tool were featured in the August 2026 issue of Innovation Insider. In the two-page feature, Kevin shares the story behind his invention, including how the idea began, how he developed and refined the Dyslexia Tool, and his plans for its future.
